Chinese evergreen (6in.)

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but adapts well to medium and lower-light spaces. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water, as Chinese Evergreens prefer slightly moist soil but do not tolerate soggy roots.

Humidity: Average household humidity is generally sufficient, although it will appreciate slightly higher humidity.

Temperature: Keep in a warm location, ideally between 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 60°F.

Feeding: Fertilize lightly with a balanced houseplant fertilizer about once a month during spring and summer. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.

Helpful Tip: Chinese Evergreens are forgiving plants and generally prefer being slightly too dry rather than overwatered.

Pet Note: Chinese Evergreen is toxic if ingested and should be kept away from pets and small children.
